Emily Kingsland

Executive Vice President

Emily A. Kingsland is an Executive Vice President at Trident DMG and a Senior Advisor at the law firm Galper & Goldberg. She is a veteran communications leader and has built and led strategic campaigns across tech, healthcare, finance, and education. Emily has a wealth of experience working closely with CEOs, investors, and board members to create corporate narratives, brand marketing and public affairs campaigns, and strategic and policy communications initiatives.

Emily previously served as Vice President of Communications at Revolution, the DC-based venture capital firm started by AOL cofounder Steve Case. She supported a portfolio of startups from launch through high-growth transformations, advising founders and CEOs on how to effectively tell their stories, secure meaningful press engagements, and navigate crisis situations.

Emily helped cultivate an inspiring narrative for Rise of the Rest, an initiative designed to accelerate the growth of early-stage startups and foster innovation in cities nationwide. She frequently partnered with high-profile investors and business leaders to develop executive communications and thought leadership programs. From 2019 to 2024, Emily was responsible for earned media across the firm’s seed, early-stage, and growth stage funds.

Prior to her time at Revolution, Emily spent nearly a decade working in-house at foundations and nonprofits dedicated to improving outcomes in healthcare and education. She led media relations and policy communications at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an organization credited with pioneering the venture philanthropy model and providing early-stage funding to pharmaceutical companies to develop groundbreaking therapies. Emily partnered with biotech firms to announce scientific advances and therapeutic developments while advocating for legislative priorities for people living with rare diseases.

Emily has advised organizations focused on advancing equitable opportunities for all students and helping states, districts, and schools lead high-performing education systems. She started her career at Edelman and Widmeyer, a FINN Partners Company, working with clients in the public affairs practice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Pennsylvania State University.
