As an Account Manager at Trident DMG, Matthew Stone brings the skills of a storyteller to the challenges of strategic communications—working with clients to define, disperse, and defend a narrative that hits the mark every time. He also supports client accounts through research and media relations, skills he cultivated as an intern at the firm.
Before joining Trident DMG, Matt served as an intern in the Obama White House, where he worked in the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs to support the speechwriter and the chief of staff for Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett. In addition to researching and drafting talking points, speeches, and other written materials for Ms. Jarrett, Matt worked on policy issues including health care, gender equality, and immigration and criminal justice reform.
After the White House, Matt interned at the Democratic National Committee, where he drafted remarks for surrogates to the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. He then worked as an intern at the speechwriting firm West Wing Writers, where he researched and drafted op-eds and formal remarks for clients that included philanthropic leaders, Fortune 500 executives, and actors and entertainers.
Matt earned a B.A. in Humanities from Yale University, where he wrote for the Yale Daily News, studied abroad in London, and worked at a think tank in Tel Aviv. A Chicago native, Matt lives in Washington, D.C.
